Married on 19th sept at Healey Barn.
Becky and I first met a few years ago when she came to chat her ideas at a planned wedding consultation. She was so warming and we got on great. Becky had to rearrange her wedding due to COVID but her ideas for her flowers never changed and she knew exactly what she wanted.
COVID was actually an opportunity for Becky as she actually set up a Cake making business of her own where she creates amazing cakes for weddings, birthdays and special occasions. Please check her business out called Bakes by Becky, she’s fantastic!
I was so excited to do Becky and Ollie’s wedding flowers as they wanted the full works from fireplace arrangement, with height and drama! Two hanging flower balls from the ceiling which created a mass of foliage over their guests for the ceremony and evening do. Hanging flower jars from the beams in the reception room which really set the room off. They also had garlands for decor around the venue. Not forgetting the stunning cake Becky made herself which was dressed with flowers on the morning.
Becky had a dream of foliage, foliage and more foliage! She loved the different textures and tones. With hints of whites and a touch of dusky pink the arrangements came to life. For Becky’s bouquet we used hints of quicksand rose. Her bridesmaids had foliage only with hints of ammi. Buttonholes were simple but effective. Arrangements had the vibe of go big or go home!
I did a site visit at Healey Barn a month before Becky’s wedding so I could see how the flower balls and fireplace arrangement will be dressed. I am so glad I did as when I was there Harriet from Healey Flowers was there taking her previous wedding down, and we got chatting. I was explaining what I had to do for Becky and Ollie’s wedding and that it was such a tight timeframe as I could get in at 9 and the wedding was at 11.30. I asked her to help set up on the morning with me and thankfully she did!!! It was great to have two hours set up help to get the arrangements in to place quickly. Healey Barn were so helpful and lovely whilst we were there! It just goes to show that florists work so well together when needed and it was awesome that Harriet was so so lovely!!
The whole flower and foliage selection was brilliant and worked amazingly well. It all looked stunning on the day and the venue styling was beautiful, the flower balls and fireplace arrangement set the standard.
I feel like Becky became a friend during the period leading up to the wedding as she was in contact ordering dried flowers for her cakes via Instagram. I have also received business from Becky sharing my contact with her couples and I also do the same when couples ask me if I know a cake maker. Businesses working together to create beautiful weddings is what it’s all about!
